Version Information

The Version Information page describes the API specification revisions and the API change process. The API Versions section and gives a summary of the changes in each API Spec version and also allows you to download the individual spec versions that have downloads available, .

The current specifications for the R1 platform have been released as Uconnect Kona API. These API releases only define the behaviors expected from the R1 Android™ platform to support Uconnect Connectivity features and do not specify a physical interface specification.

The R1 API Specifications in the SDK are the current approved API Specifications. Within each specification there are details on versions, permissions, and Changes. The Overview page provides more detail on finding information in the specification. The changes for each interface and the change request(s) associated with those changes are shown on each Class page.

In addition to the Kona R1 API we have defined Common Interface API. The Common Interface API encapsulate behaviors that FCA requires for our apps but are not supported by Android™. These interfaces will be implemented by all of the R1 HU suppliers allowing apps to run on any of our R1 Android™ platforms.

API Version - indicates a downloadable version.

• Major - version changes due to global changes such as namespace, ...
• Minor - version changes due to new API, API signature changes, ...
• Release - formating, spelling, API documentation updates (not signature or functionality) to give better understanding of API

Note: where available a link is provided to a download of that version. Each link downloads as a zip file. To view the specification unzip the content to a directory. In that directories root look for index.html and double click it.

Change Description

High level specification change description. Detailed change descriptions are available on the specification Overview page by clicking the Change Log link.

API Implementation Version

The manufacturer's kona implementation version number. This is the version displayed by the com.fca.uconnect.kona.version.KonaInfo.getVersion() API method.

6.1.0 R1	MY21 DCR 12100 was released to support the R1 Android platform and only defines the behaviors expected from the platform to support Uconnect Connectivity features. This release of the specifiation was updated to support SRT Dashboard, VR for 3rd party apps, Audio, media, climate, tuner, and navigation for a passenger app, BT and WiFi connected device, enable turing on/off the display, last mile navigation, home location, work location, FOTA and MOTA trigger from the SDP, addition of the abilty to capture an utterance,and clarification for TBM communication API.
